She spoke at the 8th Explore Aviation Careers Conference 2026, which brought together aviation industry leaders, regulators, seasoned professionals, and aspiring talent under the theme, “Navigating the Future: Building Careers in a Dynamic Industry.”

Addressing a packed audience of future pilots, engineers, air traffic controllers, and aviation managers, the convener highlighted how technological innovation, evolving global standards, and rising safety demands are redefining career pathways across the sector.

She said, “The aviation industry is constantly evolving, driven by technological advancements, changing global standards, emerging opportunities, and increasing demands for safety, innovation, and professionalism,” the convener stated during the opening remarks.

“To thrive in this dynamic environment, aspiring professionals must be willing to learn, adapt, build relevant skills, and embrace continuous development.”

Conceived as a dedicated platform for mentorship, skill acquisition, and professional networking, the annual conference aims to provide young enthusiasts with realistic pathways into the aviation industry.

Rather than focusing solely on inspiration, Dawodu stressed the importance of discipline, rigorous preparation, and long-term commitment.

She extended deep gratitude to conference partners and guest speakers whose support continues to power the initiative, reiterating a core vision: empowering the next generation with the guidance and connections required to launch successful careers.

She reminded attendees that global aviation’s true strength lies in its people, not just its machinery.

“The future of aviation will be shaped not only by the aircraft we fly or the technology we adopt, but also by the quality, competence, and character of the people who drive the industry forward,” the convener concluded, urging stakeholders to work collaboratively to open doors for emerging talent, she added.
